Many newbies were told how to make money on the internet easily is by starting with affiliate marketing. Remember? If you used to be new like me then you know what I’m talking about. Perhaps you are having a few campaigns going on using Clickbank, CJ, PayDotCom or some CPA offers.
No matter which way you choose to go with your choice of affiliate program, I got a word or two which I truly believe you want to hear about. And I have to warn you that “it ain’t pretty!”
Here goes:
A super affiliate whom I knew for the past 3 years told me recently that a few of his merchants had abolished their affiliate program, which means — less resources for their commission. And in the US recently, I was told that Amazon.com, one of the biggest and the pioneer of affiliate program, had stopped their affiliation with thousands of affiliate from the states where new tax law is implemented.
What about Stompernet 2009 mega launch? Did you by any chance involve with it? If you did, did you experience any problem with your payout? My super affiliate friend DID and he was not too happy. Looks like the simple ‘recommend products and earn commission’ online business model is about to take a turn.
You better believe it and you better prepare when it comes your way! All these are signs that it’s about time you reconsider your current money making on the internet model as affiliate.
Could It Be The Wrong Merchants?
It could be, judging from the current economic condition. If that’s the case, maybe we should blame the economy instead, and since economy is governed by Law and Order made by legislator, perhaps they are to be blamed.
And on and on and on the argument goes…
We have a folk song over here; ‘Bangau Oh Bangau’ [Swan O Swan] which beautifully depicts how the animals blame each other for the trepidation they are in. They picture themselves as victims except for the snake which boldly claims that it chooses its action.
The ‘blame game’ stops with the snake.
Likewise, you can put a stop to the everlasting blame game just by changing a few simple things. Here they are:
Diversify
Diversification could means working on different business models.
It could also means working with more programs and networks.
The most important point worth repeating is: Never put all your eggs in one basket. Think about what will happen to your business if your main merchant back off or goes belly off?
Can you live with the consequences?
Work On Your Own Products and Services
One of online marketing experts whom I frequently turn to for advice said, “The best online business model to work with is Produce and Promote!” If you have to know, Marlon Sanders ‘The King of Step By Step Internet Marketing’ and ‘Ambassador of Old School Marketing’ said so.
And I believe him.
And maybe it’s time for you to ask this question, “Whose plan am I buying?” If you don’t have your own plan that tells me you are buying into someone else’s plan. If it’s not working for you, why stuck with it?
Start working on your own Internet makes money plan.
