I’ve told you about an easy start to earn some spare cash online yesterday and one of the promise of the program is you can use it to promote or sell any product online. Any product!
Now before I got too anxious to type about this, let us be clear on a few things.
First off, not everyone would want to sell or promote something online. In fact, many of us ‘surf’ the Net because:
- to check emails as it is one of the fastest and private form of communication (no one knows you’re sending them emails unless you told them or they check their Inbox, right?). Usually, we’re made to check emails (I’m talking from the point of view of a Sales Executive. I would rather face my customers than staring at computer screen).
- to get the latest gossips. It saves thousands (if you think about it) compared to going overseas or a few bucks of on-the-shelf mag (it’s not like you’re keeping the mag anyway)
- to research for info (applies mostly to undergrads, post-grads, heck! Even to the primary school pupils – can’t imagine what they have to go through now just to get passed primary school)
- to catch up with the missed TV episodes (this applies to my wife only but I can’t resist to type it down
Oh! What I’ve listed above applies mostly to MALAYSIANS. Maybe you can relate to that (if you’re not Malaysian)… So that makes the bulk of our web surfers.
Secondly, some of us already run some form of online business, e-commerce, Internet Marketing, etc. And majority prefer to do things in our local ‘flavor’. That includes accepting payments. Just do a quick visit to Lelong.com.my, a local auction site and you can see what I’m talking about.
Everybody loves cash and the second best cash option (right after face-to-face transaction) is transfer to account. After the transaction is verified, buyers get the goods. As simple as that. Our local customers like it this way and they like products that they can see, touch and smell i.e. physical products.
That means…
Digital products are not that popular.
I’m aware that most of my local folks are already familiar with online transaction. They know what Maybank2u is or any other banks for that matter, they know how to pay bills online, transfer money online, buy movie tickets online, buy plane tickets, prepaid phone top-up or whatnot and that’s maybe, how folks define online transaction and digital products.
Bottom line, digital products are not yet ‘Super’ popular
So this is another hurdle we need to jump over (the first being limited, targeted market).
What’s the option now?
I don’t know how effective the program when applies to selling physical products online. My bet is, it’ll deliver just the same results but that’s not conclusive. Bare in mind that you’ll be guided with some proven strategies on how to bring forward this program and make it known but with our local market condition, we need to improvise.
Now, I’m not trying to ridicule things because this stuff is made by some serious and intense Internet Marketers but allow me to put things into perspective here. Our local perspective that is.
Let’s suppose…
I have a digital product and this product will help you get more sales, generate more revenues and make more profit online with your current products portfolio.
I’m going to ‘oversimplified’ the whole process outlined in my digital product so the first thing I would do is to find out what problem will my product solved for you, blow that problem out of proportion (sell the pain) and show you how my digital product will straightened things out for you, in a cinch!
But what the odds are that:
- you’ll use digital product to solve your ‘physical’ products woes?
- you’ll source online for help to your off-line challenges?
- you’ll solve it yourself than outsource it?
What are the odds? Highly? Unlikely? Maybe?
Phew! I’m glad you still here because my fingers are getting numb. Just a few more lines and that’s it…I’m outta here! Before I leave, I hope I’ve made it clear that the product I talked about yesterday IS NOT for every web surfers and not for every Mat or Minah who runs online business. The premise is still valid that it’ll help promote any product online but let’s just keep things in perspective for now.
It’ll help you promote your DIGITAL products online
And that keeps the ‘generalities’ ANY out of our way. Again, it’s not for any product. I can’t say that to physical product. Not yet anyway.
So, if you are Malaysian, selling something digital online, not limiting your cash-receiving channels only to interbank transfer, and have access to Paypal and Clickbank, I invite you to take a look at my previous rambling yesterday:
