I was joined by my aunt, and a few ‘closest’ relatives making our way to Pekan, Pahang (the constituent of the current Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia). The weather was ‘ultra’ fine. The environment was ‘extra-ultra’ fine.

I parked my car right outside the house compound. Two other cars and one van were right behind me. I step out, fully dressed up for the occassion – my ‘nikah’ or taking the oath of marriage! Looking back, that was one of the scariest moment in my life. Scare the hell out of me…

The day after (that’s May 17th 2003), our wedding feast was hosted at the same place. It was one of the joyous moment in my life. Yesterday I was dead scared and today I was jubilating.

Funny thing to write and remember all those moments today. It was the same day (May 16th 2008, Friday and 17th 2008, Saturday). Just like 5 years ago. And I’m writing this looking over my shoulder at my 18 months-old daughter. No wonder they said,“Time flies.”

Have you ever feel it?

For the single and available, well, maybe the answer is NO. No, it’s not the kind of things we can sit down and comfortably talk about. For the married, and keep it that way for more than 5 years, I surely can learn a thing or two from you. And for those who’ve ‘untied’ the knot earlier or about to untie it, I certainly can learn from you too.

I got a friend who married TWO and he had shared me the wrong reasons he did so. I got a friend who married for the second time after his divorce and three kids, and he shared with me ‘intimately’ what motivate him to take such actions.

What are the things that married man and women think about consistently? Staying married or avoiding divorce?

P.S.S I do find it ‘weird’ that because I’m happy and celebrating, I’m ‘selling’ you something and hopefully will make you happy and celebrating. Duh… I would rather say something like,”Hey I’m celebrating this and here’s something for you FREE because I’m that happy!”
